PAPER CUTS

This was one of those very last minute editorial projects conceived and produced 4 days before the issue had to ship to the printer. Phil and I were toying with another concept for weeks, and we finally admitted to each other over a quick lunch that it wasn't at all something we were feeling good about. 10 mns later, we headed back to my office, with a totally different idea for producing a women's fashion editorial. This was effectively done by shooting the girl on a white background on day 1, printing those images, and cutting them out, and then placing them in various mondane situations.
Phil Toledano is truly great to work with as he is one of those photographers that can turn on a dime (for the better), and embrace a completely creative and simple idea, and execute it with great style.
